Confirmed from Katy Trail - Windsor Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Tranquil point on the Katy Trail featuring restrooms and picnic tables, plus biking and horseback-riding activities.
What runners say about Katy Trail - Windsor Trailhead
“Beautiful resting spot right next to a hardware store, bank, and Casey's.”
“It has information boards and maps, a bench, some shade, and a bathroom.”
I used this trail head to get on the Rock Island Trail. It had rained that overnight the night before and the trail was very soft and hard to ride on. I didn’t make it past Leeton but plan to return to the trail at some point.
Rode from Calhoun to Windsor and back today, horseback. Trail in great condition. Met lots of friendly cyclists too.
A good place to park and enjoy the Katy trail. A restroom, seems like a safe place to park. The section of trail going south from this trailhead is much more enjoyable. More things to see, much more shade and trees. The section heading north from Windsor is mostly open, few trees, lots of open agricultural fields.
Peaceful point along the beautiful Katy Trail. Open restrooms, picnic tables, plenty of informational signage and brochures. An historic train caboose is situated on the property along with its interesting story. The surrounding community provides amenities to travelers.
