Confirmed from Kelley Point Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Kelley Point Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (1,672 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 3 mentions

“Calm, clean paved trail with a few beach views and dog friendly.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 12 mentions

“Kelly Point Park is a very beautiful park, albeit it is in a very remote location that has little to no options to get to unless you take a car.”

Not at all busy for a beautiful Saturday. The city strongly discourages swimming but it's lovely for having kiddos just splash around or a picnic. There are many beautiful forest trails that occasionally let out onto the river. We saw a bald eagle last time :)

★★★★☆ — Keir , Nov 2025

This area is fantastic for long runs over 10 miles. There are long drawn out stretches where you can run uninterrupted for a long time before hitting a light or crossing. It is also relatively flat making it ideal for neutral training.

★★★★★ — Stephan , Feb 2026

Big beautiful park. There's no swimming but lots of dogs were enjoying the beach. Paved trail goes from one parking lot to the other through the park and we had to walk along the road to get back to the first parking lot because we didn't want the long walk back the way we'd come.

★★★★★ — Elizabeth , May 2025

Minimally maintained, giving it a wild feel without being overly wild. We had a great time walking around the edge of the park along the Riverside

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
