Confirmed from Linnton Loop Hike Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Forested hiking area with kid-friendly trails and a creek.
What runners say about Linnton Loop Hike Trailhead
“Super great views and nice distance to hike.”
Short trail right off of highway 30 leads to Wildwood Trail. Not as crowded as the rest of the park if you go mid week.
It's an easy - moderate hike for me. Slightly moderate because it's steep right front the beginning of the trail. By 0.9 miles in, you'll climb up to 800ft elevation. The trail is very well maintained. Most of the hike is like how it is in the picture I have uploaded. Not Rocky at all. Very few bugs!
Brought the family out to get some nature. This trail was nice and open with less and of a crowd then the nearby Wildwood attracts. We only saw 3 people on a Saturday. It was a bit wet and slippery in places. And ended up being too hilly for a 3 yr old. Lots of ferns and trees to enjoy.
I finally got a chance to take a walk up this trail, I've been wanting to check it out for over ten years! I really enjoyed the native flora, I saw several different species that I had never seen before.
