Confirmed from Kent Trails - North Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Kent Trails - North Trailhead

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (25 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

Kent trails are great. From here you can do a small loop, trail hop into downtown, or walk/ bike into Mellienium Park. For the most part the trails are very well maintained. I've yet to see the North Trailhead parking lot full, there's always a few spots open.

★★★★★ — Nick , Aug 2023

Nice trail, though the lack of some directional signage where different trails intersect along the way makes it difficult to know where you are going the first time without using GPS.

★★★★☆ — Fred , Jun 2023

Such a great way to spend some time outdoors! This trail is great for birdwatching, biking, rollerblading, walking with friends, etc. I have been on this trail no less than 50 times by now, and I don't tire of it. There's something new to see every season if you pay close attention to the nature around you.

★★★★★ — Shelby , Dec 2023

I like the kent trails, just too many bikes. They fly by you and have no coincederation. Other than that, I love the scenery and tranquility of nature all around.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🛣️ Paved surface 2 mentions

“Nice, smooth paved trails that are pretty level so I was able to bike them while using my cruiser style bicycle without difficulty.”
