We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Kettle Brook Trailhead yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“Not super well marked but it’s generally a very easy and well established trail to follow.”

Interesting walking trail that includes the remnants of the old mill. Dogs and I had a good time.

Not super well marked but it’s generally a very easy and well established trail to follow. I parked in one of the visitor spots at the KettleBrook apartment. Took me about an hour to walk the trail and back. Lovely foot bridges and a super cool old stone dam along the river walk

This is a very easy hike with some short steep spots. Around 3 mi round trip (out/back same trail) from the Kettlebrook lofts parking area. There is a beautiful historic dam in the woods not far from the athletic fields. Please pack out everything you bring in.

I found the trailhead. It is behind the retaining wall. If you start on the right of the retaining wall - facing it - you'll have to climb it from the shortest part. Yo can walk to the center of the wall (behind it) and you'll see four bigger rocks and the trail. It's in decent shape.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
