Confirmed from Kingsland Lion Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Area featuring baseball fields, a skate park and playground equipment.
What runners say about Kingsland Lion Park
“Nice for kids, just no shade at all over the actual playground and it's been a hot summer already.”
“I love to stop by n just enjoy the peaceful view from the pier.”
Gorgeous park with plenty of walking trails and grassy fields. Good for almost any sport. Nice stop to tire your 🐶 dog companion out or if you want to just walk around before travel. 5 minutes off 95. Well patrolled by police officers.
This is a park that looks small but have a few good things. You have your joggers, baseball fields, playground equipment for the kids and a few grills to cookout and enjoy the park. Make sure you you request the restrooms to be opened. At times they are locked.
Nice place to play baseball and go for a jog, but the tennis courts need serious updating and the basketball hoop nets need replacing. I wish they had a separate dog area to let them roam free.
Nice for kids, just no shade at all over the actual playground and it's been a hot summer already. As for the walking trail...I love it! My husband and I go 3-4 times a week

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
