Confirmed from Kinter View, Appalachain Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Kinter View, Appalachain Trail
“Not a spectacular vista by any means but does give a picturesque view of Stony Mtn, the valley where Clarks Valley road runs parallel with both Stony and Peters mountains.”
A fairly easy hike. But still, you have rocks, lots of rocks. Then there are more rocks. Finally, some rocks.
Parked at Victoria trailhead and followed Victoria trail to whitetail to Appalachian trail . Beautiful hike , love this viewpoint. I was looking for rattlesnakes but found a copperhead sunbathing at kinter viewpoint on the rocks. Only one I saw all day .
Not a spectacular vista by any means but does give a picturesque view of Stony Mtn, the valley where Clarks Valley road runs parallel with both Stony and Peters mountains. It's a great stop to catch your breath, take in snack or adjust your equipment. Just watch your step in and around rocks.
Great view and had it to myself as it was more than 4 miles from the parking area and through hikers are long past this area.
