Confirmed from Kirvin Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“Let dog loves this place!”

This park has really grown on me. The front part is made up of a couple nice play fields and a small playground. The back part has a creek, nice trails for walking that you share with polite ATVers on occasion. The woods and fields back there are great and connect all the way to October Mountain.

★★★★★ — Mike , Dec 2022

This park is a wonderful, family friendly park. It has open fields, disc golf, basketball court, children's play area, trails, and a stream that flows through it with a table and areas for dogs. Easy to bring a stroller with you, but might be difficult to have wheelchair access through the whole place.

I was pleasantly surprised by the park. It doesn't look like much from the road but the have a lot to do. There are trails for walking or biking in the back, with several open fields, and disk golf it's a great little park.

Excellent spot to start your mountain bike ride. Play ground for the kids and huge area to walk your dogs. Please clean up after your dogs though!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
