Confirmed from Mahanna Cobble Reserve Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Mahanna Cobble Reserve Trailhead
“Quick hike, trail easy to follow and well marked.”
Great hiking trails! Not too difficult even with the snow and having not brought the most appropriate walking equipment. I would definitely recommend for good views and fun family adventure! Mahanna Cobble route took us just under 2 hours for 2.8 miles
Well marked and maintained trails. There are some areas that the trail is dense when if you head up to the cobble rather than just exploring the ski slopes as some choose. Diverse life in the woods, newts, wildflowers.. truly rich and luscious.
A fine example of a Berkshire hill climb, the Cobble Trail has about 800 feet of elevation, it is well marked, and there is a nice view when you get to the stone bench near the top.
Difficult, steep hike to a beautiful vista. Rocky, uneven terrain similar to Monument Mountain. Starts in the Bosquet parking lot, up a grassy ski slope, and then through the forest. Easy to follow orange signs and blue blazes. 3.2 miles round trip.
