Confirmed from Wild Acres - Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“Park designers did a great job integrating forest, water, and family-friendly trails.”

Wild Acres is a really nice place in Pittsfield, and highly underrated for the area. I will admit that the city needs to take better care of the trails, and the property. With a little bit of extra attention, it could be so much more. Regardless, it is a nice walk in the woods, with views of nature about.

We should consider ourselves lucky to have such a beautiful oasis in the middle of Pittsfield. Park designers did a great job integrating forest, water, and family-friendly trails. The trails and viewing tower are placed to give beautiful views of Lenox Mountain and the park's own landscape. Bottom line - a must visit.

Very nice park area . We were here visiting with a group of Geocaching Friends . When we arrived there was also a group of kids ( day camp group ) ..plenty of parking . restrooms were clean an available here also . Trail we took was enjoyable ...an watching planes take off was fun too...

A sweet little walk around a quiet lake. Was perfect for our group with kids of all ages. A stroller worked well, though I’d only rec a stroller if it has good off road wheels. The path has lots of roots and rocks.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
