Confirmed from La Cañada Open Space Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about La Cañada Open Space Trail
Nice trailhead to climb up to the Tee Pee the hard way. I don’t recommend taking a dog up to the Tee Pee this way, unless he’s very skilled at hiking. An easier way to get to the Tee Pee is from the trail by the ranger station on Angeles Crest.
Hiking definitely level: 8 out of 10. Very steep. Lots of Spansih brooms, reeds and wild flowers in Spring. Best city view above. Best LA downtown view nelow.
