Confirmed from La Orilla Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Beautiful trail. the full loop is 7.3 miles. Nature center is worth the stop and make sure to go up to the roof top deck. lots of birds. access to annie’s canyon trail.

A very pleasant moderate hike. We went on an early July day and the weather was hot but manageable with appropriate covering. Dog friendly as well as long as they have a leash. We hiked from this trail head to Annie’s Canyon and the out and back was just under 5 miles (4.73).

Great place to hike with pups. Watch out for pacific ticks as we found a couple on the pups afterwards. Super cool trail with an awesome view of the marsh area. Moderate trail mostly flat with 2 small hills.

Love this little hiking trail. But as for now they are fixing part of the trail at the Hwy 5 to get to Annie Canyon so you can't get to Annie Canyon for now.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
