Confirmed from Lake Creek Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Lake Creek Preserve

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (55 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 6 mentions

“Less than 2 mile loop, very well maintained, quiet and great creek access and views”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 3 mentions

“Beautiful and well maintained family trail, worth a visit!”

Very nice lil trail to walk for a nature walk. It's a water shed, which means all the water from Montgomery County, and grimes County drains to there.also it has a feral hog problem, so warns of being at the park after dark, due to them moving around more after dusk.

Great trail! Very beautiful. Well maintained. Bring bug spray and take pictures of the trail maps. Also, one of the signs is misleading. The four types of snakes are not poisonous, they are venomous. Please do not eat the snakes lol.

Great park the longest trail is around 5-6 miles so it’s a pretty big park , it is mostly swamps and creeks so there are many mosquitos and also snakes

★★★★★ — Sonne , May 2025

Great place to go for a walk with we'll maintained pathways, benches and places to rest all over the trails.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
