Confirmed from Lake Guntersville State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Swimming, boating & golf are offered at this lakeside state park overlooking natural woodlands.

Man this place really is one of the hidden gems of the state of Alabama. It really feels comparable to being on the other side of the bay from San francisco. We stopped here on a whim while driving around Guntersville. We have been to the campground here before to visit friends, but was curious about the lodge. Wow! The view is stunning! There’s an outdoor pool high above the bluffs. Very inviting.
It's a beautiful park, with a lodge, restaurant, campground, beach area, zip lines, and a lot of trails. It's not very user friendly for older people with bad knees or if you're out of shape, as most of the trails have steep areas.
