Confirmed from TVA Honeycomb Trail Head's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Great trail. We started on the trail from the South end near the dam. Missed the trailhead sign with all the leaves down, but had a great hike after we got on right path.

★★★★★ — Nathan , Dec 2022

8 mile point to point, ending at the dam. You can do a shorter "loop" around the lake starting at Honeycomb campground. This is a nice moderate trail enjoyable in the winter months when foliage doesn't obstruct the view and the swampy heat of summer isn't all over you.

★★★★★ — Matthew , Feb 2025

Took this Honeycomb trail for the first time a few weeks ago, although it needs some TLC it has a ton of potential, I’ll definitely ride this trail again in the near future.

★★★★★ — Neil , Dec 2024

Peaceful, everyones nice. And the ladies that run the shop are great and really funny. Your on the water. Theres a beach area. This place is great for the whole family.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
