Confirmed from Mount Scott's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Mount Scott

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (2,541 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 13 mentions

“Beautiful and scenic vistas from 2800 feet looking down over the Oklahoma plains below.”

One of the highlights of our trip to Medicine Park. We went in the morning but I hear the evening at sunset is spectacular. The morning views were just as stunning. There are plenty of places to hike up to the peak and then around the boulders and rock formations on the peak.

What an unexpected surprise to have an easily accessible/drivable mountain top so close to Medicine Park. We drove to the top, walked around. Took some awesome photos. I recommend this for people who want the views but are past their hiking days.

Beautiful and scenic vistas from 2800 feet looking down over the Oklahoma plains below. Just 20 ish mins north west of Lawton it was worth the drive up all the way from Dallas. Especially if your on a bike.

This place is breathtaking. It's my go to spot to take a hike and soak up the beautiful scenery. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to enjoy a peaceful hike surrounded by awesome sights

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 27 mentions

“The views from the top were absolutely spectacular, and the cooler air up there made it even more enjoyable.”
