Confirmed from Lake Los Carneros Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Calm trail-filled park featuring a pretty lake, for bird watching and biking, plus hiking paths.
What runners say about Lake Los Carneros Park
“It's more like a pond than a lake, but it's beautiful location to bike ride or walk by yourself or family.”
“The walking loop around the lake is well-maintained and offers a serene stroll with lovely scenery at every turn.”
This small lake is an absolute gem, perfect for a quick escape into nature. The walking loop around the lake is well-maintained and offers a serene stroll with lovely scenery at every turn. Ducks and various other birds are plentiful, adding life and charm to the experience. It’s dog friendly - dogs must stay on leash.
What a nice and peaceful place to walk or just sit and enjoy. Many people come to hang out or to exercise. The lake landscape is gorgeous and the ducks are super cute. We parked in the small lot next to the fire station and train museum and walked along the wooden gate.
Excellent park for a stroll. Views of lakes and mountains as well as wildlife. Attractions available for children include a train, tractor ride and petting zoo. Comfortably walk around the lake in 1 your but two hours to really enjoy yourself is recommended.
This park is a nice place to get away from the city bustle, although it offers a combination of natural surroundings and sounds mixed with those of the nearby 101 Freeway and the Santa Barbara Airport.
