Confirmed from Lake Meade Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Kid-friendly park featuring walking trails and a dog park plus tennis courts and playground equipment.
What runners say about Lake Meade Park
“The park is very well maintained, and I would recommend it to anyone that has small children and pets for a family gathering or taking their pets for a walk.”
“Huge dog park, beautifully maintained wooded trail with a gorgeous view of Lake Mead that's very stroller friendly and a huge, fun playground for infants to teenagers.”
“Absolutely love the trails, I took my niece, her kids and my Malinois here and the trails are very clean and easy to navigate.”
Great spot to take your kids! It well shaded and plenty of room to spread out. They are currently replacing the playground but the trails and picnic areas are still accessible.
Beautiful park with short walking trails! Very clean and well taken care of! Lots of little offshoots that you can walk to get closer to the lane. A hidden gem for sure!
Excellent walking trails! Don't think they are as long as they say. Saw a lot of neat trees and birds. The trails are very well kept. I wish it was easier to get closer to the lake. There is a giant kids play area. Lots of parking. The dog play area is beautiful.
The kids love this park. Not only is it a playground, but it also has covered pavilions where we have done birthday parties, a skate park and beautiful forest trails. I love the paved path that loops the playground b/c it has a sign that says 6 loops = 1 mile and its a great path for the kids to bike.

The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
