Confirmed from Lake Sequoyah Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Scenic

Picturesque park offering nature trails, a marina & boat ramp, plus bird-watching opportunities.

What runners say about Lake Sequoyah Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (354 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 14 mentions

“Very beautiful place, the trees, water and wildlife make for a great outdoor experience!”

Visited from out of town. The falls were beautiful and we had fun walking the trails around the lake.

★★★★★ — Angie , Nov 2021

Lake Sequoyah is tucked in the Southeast side of Fayetteville, and is a great place to hike, fish, or just enjoy being outside without needing to drive too far. There’s a few good spots to fish from shore, and there’s a dock with boat ramp. As of recent, the city isn’t charging fees to fish or boat here.

★★★★★ — Alex , Jun 2023

Is a great very easy hiking trail not far from the hubbub of Fayetteville. I would highly recommend this location for people looking for an easy day hike.

★★★★☆ — Alpha , Nov 2020

Beautiful hiking trail wrapping around wooded lake. Take this walk for sunset and enjoy the wetland birds. Bring a pair of binoculars and or your camera as you will likely see plenty of birds depending on the time of year

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
