Confirmed from Lake to Lake Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Lake to Lake Trailhead

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (84 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 3 mentions

“Short scenic trail, feels like your out of the city when the road is just 200 yards down.”

A secluded trailhead with steep ascending into the dense forest, and lake view at your back. Roadside parking is very limited.

★★★★☆ — Skywalker , Mar 2021

An awesome trail close to Redmond and Bellevue. Limited off street parking at the start of trail, but u can park further down just by the road I would recommend hiking poles as it has a pretty steep ascent and descent, definitely not for those with bad knees.

This trail can be accessed multiple ways. Larsen Blueberry patch is is a nice break in trail. Also from Walmart one can come walk their dog etc from the parking lot. There’s water but it’s stagnant and the huge pond is not for dogs. There’s parking scattered around depending what part of the trail your at.

★★★★☆ — Ann , May 2025

I'm not really a hiking person but this place is amazing. I been here a few times and is always clean. The parking is kind of hard to find if you come in the afternoon or weekends that's all .

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
