This is a well maintained and varied hiking area that's welcoming for beginners. There are only a couple routes, and what's here isn't quite as stunning as what you'll find if you head out into the mountains, but it's well worth visiting at least once and is perfect for walking your dogs.
Love this trail so much. It's pretty secluded and the quiet is so nice. Parking can be tricky but we've been able to find street parking the last few times we've been. Very dog friendly too so long as you keep them on a leash (lots of crossing paths and you wouldn't want them venturing too far from the trail)
Its a fun and short hike. Kid friendly ( there are a few spots that can be tricky) and gives a couple of options to do long or short loops.
A really quite lovely in-metro forest that, a few steps in, makes you forget completely that you're near a city at all. Google maps, at time of writing, puts you at the wrong side of the park, the trails start on the West Side, not East (perhaps due to construction?).
