Confirmed from Lakebottom Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 5 mentions

“It is a beautiful park for families to bring their children and pets.”

Still one of the best parks in Columbus. My daughter lives close enough so that I can let the boys ride bikes while I walk yo the playground. The playground is kept clean by the city. Someone has added a little library there so we have donated many books, and read a few there at the park.

★★★★☆ — Wendy , Apr 2022

Lakebottom Park in Columbus GA is a great place to walk, have a picnic, take the kids to the playground, or play some sports! The bathrooms aren't great, but they have stall doors and toilet paper, so that's always a plus!

★★★★★ — Alexandra , Aug 2025

Very beautiful park and I love the place. The Park has a lot of things you can do like walk the trail. Take kids out to the playground or just look around the park.

★★★★★ — Marilyn , Mar 2026

It is a beautiful park for families to bring their children and pets. You can get your walking exercise, play tennis, play baseball, or play/monitor kids on swings. The air is free with lovely trees around the park to help keep cool.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
