Confirmed from Las Colonias Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Las Colonias Trail
“There's some well maintained benches along the trail, and it's wide enough for 4-5 people to walk side by side.”
“It's a beautiful trail, that's well paved and in a nice area, about 10ft to 20ft from the river.”
“There's limited shade if you come up from the golf course though, so when it's hot the sun really beats down!”
Everything you want to do : just chilling, walk on the paved or dirt trails enjoying the river and the flowers. You can jog or bike! There's mountain bike practice obstacles course, skate park. I wish we stayed a little longer.
I really enjoy the trails here and the atmosphere. One of the best parks in town. The play ground on the west end has issues with vagrants and vandalism.
We took the trail around the disc golf course. It's beautiful with the ricer running through it, some art pieces and Wonderful vistas. We'll be back.
Go to the park and cool trailhead! We rode our bikes to this location several times good spot
