Confirmed from Laurel Canyon Hiking Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Laurel Canyon Hiking Trail
“Nice scenic trail north of Willow staging area leading to many other scenic trails like Stage Coach, Wix, Willow.”
“5 miles for this trail specifically but adding it to a loop or connecting trail adds good mileage and good shade and plant life.”
This trail is one of the best in the park. There’s a dry waterfall it’s high perfect spot to munch a cliff bar n rest a moment sitting in the cliff. Lush valley at the right time of year. Beautiful. The dry creek bed has lots of boulders. Just a great trail down in The Valley. Only about 1.
This is one of my favorite hikes. I've been coming here for years. There's a good mix of landscapes and views. My favorite part is that when you get deep enough in, you can't heat the freeway and you forget you're in the fast-paced Orange County.
this is great for trying out hiking, we had a toddler with us and we only dod part of the trail about 0.6mi from the trail head to the emoji rock
This is a good moderate two hour hike. Just enough work and benefit from nature and the views. This is my goto.
