Confirmed from Canyon View Staging Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Wooded park with hiking and biking trails, plus deer sightings.
What runners say about Canyon View Staging Area
“Beautiful hiking & park, toilet facilities lacking (one under-serviced outhouse).”
“The main trail in the canyon is mostly shaded which is great for that warm, sunny day.”
“Trails are all well marked and easy to follow.”
Great area for mountain biking and hiking with dog friendly areas as well. Get there early as parking is limited. Also if you park on the hill, it is best practice to turn your wheels into the curb just in case your parking break fails.
Great Trail. Beautiful. Serious uphill in parts. If you haven't been hiking anywhere but your couch through Covid, heres my advice: Look at the trail on a map, make sure you understand the length of it. And plan your water accordingly. Mostly moderate and some parts difficult. Cheers!
Great starting place to take a medium length hike. Has many trails. Some lead to the dripping cave and can also go to the top of the world. Free parking in the area. Only one portable bathroom available, no running water, but was pretty well kept.
While the staging area isn't anything to write home about, the trails connected to it are. The main trail in the canyon is mostly shaded which is great for that warm, sunny day. There's a little creek that runs along it as well. It's lovely.
