Confirmed from Canyon View Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
12-acre park with big grassy areas, a sand-covered playground & path overlooking the canyon.
What runners say about Canyon View Park
“Clean, friendly, spacious, with a traihead into an awesome trail system.”
“This park is beautiful with a paved loop for walking, lots of open grass space, volleyball courts, a shaded play area and tables, and even a small workout area.”
“It’s a very peaceful park.”
Nice park. The photo with the foggy conditions is from 7:30am in early October. Easy to find parking along the street. Nice spot to connect to other trails like West Ridge and Wood Creek leading towards Top of the World and Carwreck.
It can get hot quickly. Make sure to bring plenty of water. West Ridge Trail goes to Top of the World where there is a playground, nice bathrooms and water.
What a beautiful park for hiking. Went there this weekend for a hike. They have great trails with different level of difficulty. It’s a very peaceful park. There is no cellphone service deep in the trail. The only other issue was parking.
This is a nice neighborhood park with a large grassy area for kicking/throwing balls, Frisbee, etc. There is also a play area for young kids and two sand volleyball courts. But the best thing is it has an access point to all the trails in the Aliso and Wood Canyon park!
