Confirmed from Lawrence Riverfront Park MB Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park with trails for walking and biking.
What runners say about Lawrence Riverfront Park MB Trail
“Well maintained with a few technical areas.”
“Beautiful scenery, chances to see eagles, delicious pie.”
Great hike today. I'd rate this moderate for an old guy like me. Did the whole 8.9 miles. Well maintained with a few technical areas. Keep an eye open for the bikes.
Great trail to biking. Smooth dirt and a straight shot along the levee to return to the start. It’s long too. Highly recommend!
I always love walking these trails. They are beautiful in every different season.I live locally, and being able to access these for a good morning walk, or a lunchtime mountain bike ride is super amazing. I do wish there were some slightly larger features for mountain biking, however.
The few people who maintain this trail are superstars! Thank you so much. This trail is one of the most flowy trails. Not too technical but a fun afternoon or morning ride.
Trail conditions & character
“Fast, fun, flowy singletrack that can be sandy in a few corners if it's dry.”
“The main loop is just shy of 9 miles, but you can add on another mile or two if you do the optional Sugar Loop (just keep in mind that the sand can be deep here).”
“Close to the trailhead, there can be a lot of hiker/runner traffic on nice weekends.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
