Confirmed from Leverich Canyon Mountain Trail Head's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Leverich Canyon Mountain Trail Head
“Beautiful trail, but I will clarify two things I could not make out from other reviews: 1- This is a great mountain biking trail.”
It’s a fair nice round trip hike of close to 6 miles. Hiking it at fast pace it provided a good workout. The only downside is that mountain bikers rule the trail making it difficult because of the terrain. It’s good for the mountain bikers and bad for the hikers.
Absolutely stunning!!!!! Pay attention heading up. As stated, you'll be driving directly up private property on easement access. Respect the folks who live there. Have a great hike after that!!
Beautiful trail, but I will clarify two things I could not make out from other reviews: 1- This is a great mountain biking trail. Well maintained trail, high banking turns, jumps, the whole deal. 2- If you are here to hike, the first uphill portion is your option.
This trail is not great for hikers, but you can hike it if you want to, just make sure to stay on the left(east)side of the loop because mountain bikers go fast downhill the other side. For mountain biking it is amazing tho.
Trail conditions & character
“also: the road up to the trailhead is not that good, if you have roof mounted bike rack the bikes will hit low overhanging branches in some places.”
“Beautiful trail, but I will clarify two things I could not make out from other reviews: 1- This is a great mountain biking trail.”
“Climb up some switchbacks that start off hard then back off and finally are flat and downhill when you reach the first ridge.”
“An intermediate ability loop, the climb might kick your butt, but the descent is worth it.”
“Berms exist on most downhill turns and there is only a single, very short rocky/root ridden section at the top.”
