Confirmed from Lex Kunau Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Shaded spot featuring picnic tables and a playground, plus a boat launch and grassy areas for recreation.

What runners say about Lex Kunau Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (194 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🌳 shaded & cool 4 mentions

“The bridge is really close so you can brave jumping off that into the river, float next to the docs, or just lay underneath the weeping willow shade.”

I would donate to any fund to help build a fence for a place for the dogs to run around.

★★★★★ — Chris , Apr 2024

Beautiful water side park. Lot of grass to play on and benches/ tables. The area has no fence for keeping smaller kids in but it is really big for running and playing. It does have a playground and bathrooms. The grass is kept up really nice.

★★★★★ — Shannon , Oct 2022

This is a nice simple park. It's not a huge space and some of the picnic areas are pretty run down. There seemed to be a lot of cars parked in the parking lot, but not really anyone in the park. It does have a nice open lawn, though, great for running and playing for dogs and kids.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🚻 Restrooms 9 mentions

“there's a pavilion a boat ramp restrooms and plenty of parking there is a couple of swings and a dumpster for your convenience and it is very K9 friendly.”
