Another underrated natural wonder that should really be more well known! The “Niagra of the West” was nothing short of breathtaking! It wasn’t a difficult walk to see it well, it was inexpensive to enter the park, and it was totally worth the hour+ we drove each way to see it.
Spectacular natural views. Niagara of the West. Stunning during spring and early summer when water flow is strongest. Visiting Shoshone Falls Park was easily one of the highlights of my time in Idaho.
Beautiful area, beautiful falls. Not much water as of now but some seasons it is overflowing or if they lower the dam a bit. Lots of paths to walk and look out the river and falls. Lots of parking and people walking around.
Shoshone Falls was absolutely worth the visit. Coming from the East Coast, we naturally compare waterfalls to Niagara Falls, and while Shoshone isn’t as massive, the views are still beautiful and impressive in their own way.
