Confirmed from Liberty Park Nature Center's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Family-friendly center for hiking, birdwatching and nature walks, with wildlife exhibits, a fireplace and rock chairs.

This metro park is one of our most favorite! The nature center is beautiful, and the bathrooms and always clean. The black bear trail (2.1 miles) is nice through the woods (just wear grubby shoes if it has been raining). Also try the ledges hike, the rock formations are breathtaking.

First time visiting, walked the bear trail and the field trail, very relaxing. The bear trail is very well maintained and excellent for a relaxing walk and I could see being a good running trail. The field trail, was all concrete, but very beautiful.
It was nice and peaceful. I liked how shaded the paths were. If you are allergic to mosquito bites, just make sure to spray bug repellent first .
