Pretty park in old gravel pits south of I94. Some older trees in the SE corner. Three unique ponds. Good hiking trails with some hills. Would be nice to repair and reopen the boardwalk. Also has paved trails, soccer fields, and pavilions. Good signage, and some wildlife including a coyote, songbirds and waterfowl.
A beautiful place to stop for a moment and enjoy nature. Lots of birds, chipmunks, and other little critters to entertain and keep you company. Beautiful views of water with places for fishing or a picnic. There are benches and nice paths for walking.
Lovely trail area surrounding the lake. We went today during a blizzard and had the place to ourselves. It was a winter wonderland with surprisingly great views.
I have only seen a small piece of the park so far, and it didnt take me long to realize this park has a lot to offer. Lillie park has soccer goals, a playground, picnic shelters, walking trails, a lake, and a large parking area. The park connects to a nature preserve with paths to walk through as well.
