Confirmed from Little Valley Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Mountain-biking area offering several short loops for beginners to learn technique.
What runners say about Little Valley Trailhead
“Trails are well marked to indicate experience level.”
Great place to mountain bike for anyone. Amazing trails for little kids. Flat and easy perfect for beginners. Amazing for family bike rides fairly shaded. Not very crowded because it is too easy for most people. Multiple different green and blue level trails so it doesn't get boring.
Got little kids and want to introduce them to the world of mountain biking and some easy singletrack riding? Drop by Little Valley. These trails are designed for beginners and help young kids (and new riders) become more comfortable on trails in the Utah mountains.
What a great idea. It was perfect for my 5, 7, and 11 year olds who are interested in mountain biking. They have green circle and blue square runs. They also have signs along the trails to teach you skills, such as how to make a turn.
Great spot for kids starting out on Mt bikes, or any beginner. Whole family can start out here and not experienced riders have access to longer more complicated trails and younger kids can stay on the small loops. Lots of signs with good riding tips. I recommend no training wheels or carrier trailers.
Trail conditions & character
“It is a great mountain bike trail for beginners, the only downside is the parking isn't great but, I would recommend parking at the top of potato hill and bike down.”
