Confirmed from Live Oak Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Live Oak Park
“Everytime I go it's clean, trashes are empty, people pick up after their dogs.”
A very nice park for children to play. They have a fenced in area for the small children to play in the sand & on some play things. They have a Little League field for the older children to play baseball. They might still have an art area for the young children. They have basketball ball courts and tennis courts.
Super awesome family time when we can make it mondays and wednesdays. We live in barstow but we love to make the time for our family to all race bmx together. The people who run the park seem really cool and down to earth which is a big plus.
This park is wonderful for baseball bike riding hanging out in the shade having a picnic letting your kids run around yes it has bathrooms it's well maintained they have baseball games and it's very clean Park.
Trail conditions & character

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
