Confirmed from Lone Peak Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
City park with mountain views offering ball fields, playgrounds, a running path & skateboarding.
What runners say about Lone Peak Park
“Opened until 10:30pm, this place is clean and the park is very comfortable to use.”
“A beautiful park that we visited on a school field trip.”
This is a fantastic large park. It has great amenities; bathrooms, skate park, open fields, baseball diamonds, hills, covered picnicking areas, playground equipment, basketball courts, walking trails. I've never had a problem with parking although it may be an issue due to limited parking for such a large park.
Lone Peak Park is a great community space with lots of open room. I’ve been here for walks and casual outings, and it’s always enjoyable. The park feels spacious and well laid out. It’s a good place to relax or spend time outdoors without feeling crowded.
So far, it's great. Most everyone follows the rules, everything runs smoothly, the bigger kids help the little ones and they all have a good time!

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
