Confirmed from Long Creek Greenway's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Long Creek Greenway
“Paved and well maintained, good for a jog, walking the dog, or a bike ride”
“Began on Primm Rd and found a rather peaceful trail that began in a disused golf course.”
Great to have a walking/biking Greenway on the northwest side of town! Nicely paved with wooden boardwalks in the extra low, swampy sections. There is a warning that the Greenway floods during storms.
Great trail and continually blown away by the CLT Greenway system. Wasn't sure how far I was going to get since it looked like it was under construction via the website, but seems like it's 90% finished.
I love this greenway. Never crowded, very wide and well maintained. Views are good in many places. It also has rough trails for those like me that enjoy off road.
This was a refreshing change of pace while visiting family. I wanted to get a walk in without using the gym and it was right on time. I wasn't able to complete the whole trail yet however. It was peaceful and I felt pretty safe. There were cyclista, families, dog walkers, and runners.
Trail conditions & character
“Got 8 miles (4 out, 4 back) from the target parking lot and I didn't even tack on any miles going the other way (maybe another 2 or 3?”
“Began on Primm Rd and found a rather peaceful trail that began in a disused golf course.”
“Beautifully paved and also incredibly to hear how many frogs chirp at you as you go by their little marsh lol”

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
