Confirmed from Long Lake County Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Kid-friendly waterfront spot featuring a picnic area, playground, grills and a volleyball net.
What runners say about Long Lake County Park
“Beautiful park to come and fish, boat, swim, hang out and have a picnic.”
“Enjoy fishing long lake when it's quiet.”
Toddler & Beagle approved. Wide open grassy area to explore and run around in, a warm lake to swim/wade/splash around in and most importantly! Swings for my toddler to sprint to and beagle to lope behind her to! Very simple, nice nature park to enjoy the scenery & picnic in.
We always have a great time at Long Lake there is a swing set and fishing large areas of grass to play on although there's not a giant place structure there are lots of trails and you can bring your dogs and you can walk them on the leash great for a birthday party or just a sunny time to barbecue and spend with…
We were lucky to find this park after a short kayak ride as the kids enjoyed the swings and the PFDs are a great idea. Nice grassy park with some big shade trees.
Good place to walk dogs, have a picnic or play games that need large open spaces. There is a small area off to the side for fishing- not in my pics though.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
