Confirmed from Los Arboles "Rocketship" Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Urban retreat offering elevated views of the city & a playground with a rocketship structure.
What runners say about Los Arboles "Rocketship" Park
“Your experience may vary in this rather small park with a great view, but I love it.”
Great little park with a view up on the hill. Loads of great equipment for kids. No need for a massive Trump flag though, it's a park for God's sake not a political rally.
This is the best views from any park in the entire city. It has a decent playground area and a very large grass area to run around in. Easy parking as well. I come here once a week with the kiddos.
Beautiful park with some old school play equipment for kids. Today wasn't the best as a house next to the park was sandblasting. Normally this is a 5 star local for a pick up picnic lunch. Great views. Neighborhood is hilly which makes for a nice, safe exercise walk.
Trail conditions & character
“Up high on the Palos Verdes hill with one of the best views around of pretty much all of the Los Angeles basin (at least, on a clear day) and the ocean beyond.”
“Only minor negative is the parking is very limited and mainly street parking also not too many picnic benches.”
“Up high on the Palos Verdes hill with one of the best views around of pretty much all of the Los Angeles basin (at least, on a clear day) and the ocean beyond.”
“And of course a 4-level rocket ship with a slide and a moon lander right next to it.”
“There are no public toilets so go to the bathroom before you go!”
