I moved here a couple of months ago and tonight was the first time I visited this trail. The reason is that it is my last night with my dog, Jake. I think he gave it 5 stars because it had plenty of places to sniff and lots of trees and bushes to pee on. Not to mention that view!
This is a great 15.5 mile loop that does connect with other trails within the White Mountain hiking trail system. It follows mostly old logging roads and does cross through Bagnal wash. It is posted that it is a non motorized trail. Horses and hikers welcome.
If you do it clockwise from the trailhead when you get to the road the section from the road to the road is well-marked you might want to take the road back which is 136.Between 1:36 to 1:35 going past Jose tank it's not really that well marked it's very doable I do it all the time.
This is a scenic walk through the mountains of Arizona. I definitely like the points when you can get on the ridge tops and see where the rodeo cadesky fire had burned. Sad to see the old burn scars but it looks like the forest is slowly trying to come back.
