Confirmed from Los Fresnos Nature Park & Caracara Hike & Bike Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Ok folks, this place is cozy close encounters trail blaze. Small park, wide path, exercise station. In the front entrance you have pictures nature's flowers to find around the park, that was fun with family. Bird watch stations but when people cross to the other side well no birds around😞.

A really nice walking/ jogging trail. It's going to be really beautiful once it's totally finished. As long as they leave the tree's and foliage and not totally clear it out. It is a nature trail afterall. That's what draws us to it. Provides shade also.🌳❤ Our dog's love it. Has doggie bag dispenser.

★★★★☆ — Michelle , Mar 2021

Great place to take a walk, use calisthenics stations, and breath some fresh air. As of Feb/22 they have paved/connected the road that goes to the canal area in the back. Nice.

★★★★★ — Adrian , Jul 2022

As far as the park goes, it is clean and well maintained. Great for walking, jogging, and biking. The trail in rear goes all the way past Hiway 100 and to Paredes behind Durango Estates Subdivision. My only complaint is, sometimes people don't clean up after their dogs.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
