Confirmed from Brownsville Event Center Running Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Public park with a playground, athletic facilities, and trails, as well as a peaceful water view.

Went looking for a place to unwind late night. Not sure if this place is 24 hrs but I went well after 11pm and there other people still there. The park was awesome. Very clean and well lit. Trails there vary in distance for joggers and have many trails to choose from.
I was in town visiting and looking for a nearby walking trail. The Brownsville Event Center trail was a pleasant surprise. The trail is clean mostly asphalt and meanders along both sides of the resaca. The trails are plenty-wide to accommodate runners as well as walkers.
I love this place...always clean, Peaceful, well maintained, I've been coming here since 2011 It's good for exercise and has a few nice quiet spot for kombat combat training, when I wear my Heavyweight Black gear it's as if it becomes lighter when walking in this beautiful park....
Its a great place to visit, to play, to walk, to run, to hangout with families and friends.I would suggest for them to put up more lights when it's dark, but I want you to go check it out and tell me your experience there.

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadwater — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
