Confirmed from Brownsville Historic Battlefield Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Hiking area featuring trails that are suitable for children.
What runners say about Brownsville Historic Battlefield Trail
“It was great I loved it it's clean and very nice and very pacific to be relaxed.”
THE MOST AMAZING PARK in the city. Been running here for over a decade. Good spot.
I love walking along this trail. I do it at different times of the day. It is safe and relatively well lit. But like anywhere, apply your sunscreen/insect repellant, depending on the time of day and take pepper spray. Be safe and enjoy the view and the screeching parrots.
Ok mountain bike trail… best part was the possibility of having to dodge a rattlesnake or two. They could put more money into mountain Bike parks in this reason of the country to attract people to increase the tax.
It's very pretty. The bike road is convenient. Everywhere you look is beautiful. The battlefield trail is the best part of Brownsville.
Trail conditions & character
“Its good for running and getting out there because of the dynamic view of the resaca nice place”
“While I will say I don't like public restrooms to begin with, the male restrooms was a total mess.”
