Confirmed from Lost Trails' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Lost Trails
“Top of the World and the tunnel were stunning, loved the different views and terrain but overall- mostly rocky, not for the faint of heart ❤️”
Honestly some of the negative reviews had me worried about spending time and money coming to this place... after spending the day here.... i will be going back without any hesitation. It was fun and challenging at times but in a good/fun way.
Honestly, was my first time out on some trails today and I chose this place. Gotta say, this place is very well organized. The trails are clearly labeled all the way through.
Lost trails was fun! Super huge we didn’t hit all the trails. We were there riding from 10am-5pm. It is definitely very very rocky. There are some spots that aren’t rocky! Definitely look over your toys before going make sure everything is tight and ready to go! It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed it.
Place was pretty awesome, friendly staff. The guy riding around on a quad directing people was super friendly and helpful. Staff inside was also on point with customer service. Took my 2.5yr old with me trails were awesome and well marked. Even the “easy” marked trails were challenging in a fun way.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
