Confirmed from Lowell Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Sprawling park featuring a riverfront, trails, shelters and playgrounds.
What runners say about Lowell Park
“We do go during the summer to enjoy time with the family very clean, during the fall beautiful colors love to go and take pictures or hike.”

A large city park with both historical ties and modern touches. This attractive park once hired a gentleman named Ronald Reagan to serve as one of its lifeguards. It also has multiple WPA era shelters. It has a short disc golf course, several hiking trails, playground equipment and multiple bench swings.
I love this park! There is a walking trail from a quie5 neighborhood that leads to it (with a modern outhouse halfway). There is an education center just as you drive in that has 1 or 2 saved local animals. Walking/hiking trails everywhere.
Always, always love our visits to this Beautiful, and thankfully close state park! Just the next county over from us too! The river is calm down here near where the main, newer playground is, Lots of shelters for picnics and BBQ 's, they now have those weird frisby golf nets in some places on this lower level too, lol.
This is a frequently visited place for myself and my family! The park is fun, and there are plenty of beautiful trails with a lot of wildlife and plants/flowers to see along the way.
