Confirmed from Lower Monroe Truck Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

I came to walk and see here, the place was very cold, but I could hear a small river because of so much rain. Walk a little path and come to some paths with very green trees and small rivers.

Not a strenuous hiking trail but it's long enough and has a good enough incline to make for a solid round-trip workout. Plan on 1.5 hrs roundtrip with time to stop to take pics. Roundtrip distance is about 4.7 miles from the gate on GMR to the Mystic Cayon upper marker with the flag, and back.

A really nice place to hike. Paths may be narrow at places which makes it hard when bikers are passing by, but still safe. You will really close to nature as you hike through the trail.

Great trail! It hooks up with two other harder trails if you want an all day hike. It's shady until you get up to the flag so it's pretty cold early in the morning. Plenty of parking at the trail head on Glendora Mtn. Road.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

“What stands out most is the scenery lush hills, textured vegetation, and expansive valley views that open up as you climb higher.”
