Confirmed from Luce Line Trailhead (Plymouth/Vicksburg Lane)'s own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Luce line trail is one of my favorite trails in Minnesota. Very well kept almost all year around, you can use it for bicycle commuting to Minneapolis.

If I remember correctly this Trail is 56 miles long. It used to be a railroad track. It goes all the way to Cosmos Minnesota. It's well-maintained, most of the trial is covered by small rocks. If you just want to bike or jog in a straight line for a while and not worry about directions this Trail is perfect.

Great crushed limestone gravel trail. Fairly flat trail of you don't like hills like most rails to trails paths. Not a lot of parking at this trail head but usually enough. Additional parking available at nearby Parkers Lake park which has trails that connect to the luce line.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
