Confirmed from Lykins Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Laid-back, scenic park featuring baseball fields, a skate park, swings and barbecues.
What runners say about Lykins Park
“The scenery here is beautiful.”
Love this park! Really cool place for the area. Creek on back side and running through main long side. Few neat bridges. Good sized playground with plenty of equipment. Good amount of swings etc. Skate park located near first parking area. Small but cool. Good for the kids to have an approved place.
Nice place to relax and walk. And it also has an area for children to play. I like walking near the stream, listening to the running water. And the birds. If you're looking for a free place to relax...This is the one. It's small.
Great place for a pokemon hunt. Playground is in good shape. Lots of space to walk around.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
