Confirmed from Lynch Canyon Open Space's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

So if you like open fields, rolling hills and cows 🐄 then this is a great place 👍 all of the trails are very well kept up too. Not a lot of trees or shade so make sure to bring water and sunblock. Did most of the tails in one afternoon, mostly easy to do.

Our adventure led us to the open space @ Lynch Canyon. Enjoyed the rolling green hills and the cows along the way. The open space is well maintained, there is a outhouse at the parking lot, with an entrance fee of $6 or $7.00 dollars. Lynch Canyon is open Friday through Monday.

Great spring hike! I imagine it would be pretty brutal during the summer though, almost no shade and no where to refill your water. Decent amount of parking spots, don’t forget to bring $5 cash.

★★★★☆ — Kaylie , Mar 2025

Only slightly muddy on 12/26/20. Beautiful trails here. Well-maintained. $6 day parking. You will see horses and cows on the trails. Lots of birds and beautiful views. You can see water from these hikes after about 2 miles in.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
