We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Lynx Creek Trail yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Lynx Creek Trail
“Beautiful trees drooping over your head close to the water!”
We have explored lots of trails this past year and lynx Lake Trail is absolutely the best! It’s a trail that goes all the way around the lake and it’s asphalt! Beautiful trees drooping over your head close to the water! It is a great safe beautiful flat trailed place to hike!
Hiking up Lynx Creek is fun until you realize you are on someone's claim or in someone's yard. Basically, there is private property all over the place that prevents the hiker from going more than about a mile.
If you want to experience a part of the less explored east Prescott area this is a nice option. The park makes it a good idea to spend a whole day there (picnic) and the trails can be quite interesting at parts , while they connect to other trails of the area.
