Confirmed from Glassford Hill Summit Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Glassford Hill Summit Trail
“Great view of Prescott/Prescott Valley, almost 365°.”
The view from the top is great but with more and more houses going in at the base who's to say if that will remain true. It's a pretty good accomplishment to get to the top of Glassford Hill. It's great training for canyon hikes because the way up is so steep!
I am fortunate to climb this mountain, when it is the most youthful and energetic this year, because it is usually a weed. When you go up, you can look down on the whole village, as if you are detached from the world. You can see the lush mountains all around, and the surroundings are quiet and peaceful.
Not a super difficult climb but the view is everything. Keep your eyes peeled for the cave entrance by the summit, off the path but not an exhaustive jaunt ... to the left of the 5th rest area.
Nice hike! Good trail! Steep in places, but the view at the top is spectacular!!
